YOGAS IN YOUR KUNDLI

Raj Yoga, Dhan Yoga and other yogas in your Kundli

Yogas are classical planetary combinations. MoKundli checks your calculated chart for the yogas it recognises, separates birth yogas from the daily Panchang yoga, and explains each one — along with the Dasha periods in which it is traditionally said to work.

What is a yoga in Vedic astrology?

In Jyotish, a yoga is a defined relationship between planets, signs or house lords — a conjunction, mutual aspect, exchange or placement. Classical texts such as Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra describe hundreds of them.

A yoga is a promise, not a guarantee

Astrologers judge a yoga's strength by the dignity of its planets, the houses involved, afflictions and cancellations (such as Neecha Bhanga). Most yogas are said to give results mainly during the Dasha of the planets forming them — so a yoga name on its own is not a prediction.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if I have Raj Yoga?

Raj Yoga is traditionally formed when lords of Kendra houses (1, 4, 7, 10) and Trikona houses (1, 5, 9) combine. Generate your Kundli and the yoga check lists the combinations found in your chart.

Is the yoga check free?

Yes, the birth-yoga list is included in the free plan.

Is Daridra Yoga always bad?

No. Any difficult combination is weighed against the rest of the chart, cancellations and the Dasha sequence. It does not mean permanent hardship.

What is the difference between a birth yoga and Panchang yoga?

Birth yogas are planetary combinations in your Kundli. Panchang yoga is one of 27 daily yogas based on the Sun and Moon — the same for everyone on a given day.
